Bar Open Presents
THE WOOHOO REVUE (Final Show)
with Oolluu + Lattuada-Bratetich Guitar Duo. Tickets: $20 at the door only
Well it's been a wild old ride for The Woohoo Revue over the past 10 years. Many roads travelled. Many dance-floors shaken. Many faces loved and lost along the way. And now, to coincide with Bar Open's 20th anniversary, it's time to return to the spiritual homeland for one final hoorah.
For the uninitiated, The Woohoo Revue have been described as:
"a supercharged carnival of movement and sound" or an "adrenalin-fuelled celebration fit for dancing, drinking, and ignoring tomorrow". But it's essentially a bunch of lunatics inspired by Balkan brass tunes wielding horns, drums and guitars. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably not that either.
The band:
Sam Booey Boon - Alto Sax
Tommy J - Trumpet
Chris Streeter Street - Bari Sax
Dannie McKenzie - Guitar
Madi Weybury - Bass
Damo Ellis - Drums
Joining the celebrations are the equally enigmatic Oolluu, a synth-driven power trio who occupy that magical space between prog-rock and dance music.
And to commence the evening, the Lattuada-Bratetich Guitar Duo, a formidable firey fusion of latin flavoured guitar shredding to wet the appetite for the night to come.
This will be a busy night and tickets will not be pre-sold so arrive early to secure your place.
This is an 18+ event.
