Showcasing Singer Songwriters... Julia Rose, Kristy Apps, Lucinda Shaw, Melissa j Evans and Nikolaine Martine also with Ruth Gardner, Parmis Rose, Sue Drummond and Fion Ellwood Four Women sit on a dishevelled double bed in an empty back street studio exchanging clever quips and joining in with hilarious one liners-these girls know how to laugh! All of a sudden the singing starts... Bill Withers "Lean on Me", without warning, they break into spontaneous harmonies with each singer showing their incredible vocal style! You suddenly realize that these sisters in song are not only great songwriters, but they put as much passion into their interpretations of cover songs as they do their own originals.

The Sister Sessions is the brainchild of Melissa j Evans, [JUTE, Florence's balcony] an old hand at putting together shows that highlight the individuality of female artists. The performers are on stage simultaneously, they interact and talk about their own work and the work of their contemporaries-it's an interesting concept to have these lead singers do almost an improv workshop with an audience in the room. This show certainly highlights the kinship between it's players.
