'Pass the peas' is probably something you'll say on Valentine's Day to your beloved one. Saturday night on the other hand, you'll be chanting it as things are going to get a little bit funky!

Back by popular demand, acclaimed and stylish, nine-piece rhythm & blues band, The Milford Street Shakers return to one of the grooviest basements in Perth, The Sewing Room.

Avid vinyl collector, music producer / musician extraordinaire DJ Clem-in-time will be spinning some rare and upbeat R&B hits that'll make for one non-stop-party!

The Sewing Room is in the basement of one of Perth's most beautiful old buildings at 317 Murray Street. The building in Wolf Lane was built in 1910 and the basement was once a sewing room for one of Perth's leading fashion houses.

In the last 12 months The Milford Street Shakers have rapidly earned a name for themselves as one of the State's most dynamic bands.

Concerts have included an audience of 2000 people at Music Under the Stars Concert at ECU Joondalup, sold out FRINGE WORLD Summerset Arts Festival shows, a sell-out twilight concert to 600 people at the Parkerville Tavern in February, 4000 people dancing to their music as support for James Taylor at Leeuwin Estate Winery in February, two shows at the Wheatstone Gas Project in Onslow in April, a high-energy show at the Regal Theatre in Subiaco in July, an audience of 2000 people at the nameless Jarndunmunha Festival in Tom Price and the City of Perth's New Year's Eve Celebrations in Northbridge to an audience of over 5000 people.

Make your Saturday night Date Night and we'll see you on the dance floor!
