Event Details

He reminded everyone of his incredible live show with his recent set at Splendour in the Grass and today The Kite String Tangle announces that he will be taking his much acclaimed self-titled debut album out on the road for a national tour in October. Exist. Recordings' label signee Brisbane producer Golden Vessel will join the tour as main support, with electronic indie songstress Austen in the opening slot. The album tour will come in the wake of The Kite String Tangle's AUS/NZ support for US electronic duo Odesza and a spot on the line up of The Last Frost Festival.

The Kite String Tangle album (released via Warner Music Australia) reached #1 on the iTunes Electronic charts and made a Top 10 debut on the iTunes Album chart. The first album single 'Selfish' has amassed over 1 million streams and was followed by current single 'The Prize' feat. Bridgette Amofah (Rudimental) which is receiving high rotation on national radio. The album was produced over a three-year period and saw the bedroom producer move his recording process into a studio with live drums, strings, horns and more. Written, performed and self-produced, the album is mixed by Grammy Award Winning Engineer Eric J Dubowsky (Flume, Flight Facilities, SAFIA) and includes Gold Coast artist and I OH YOU signee Montgomery.

The Kite String Tangle launched an independent record label in Exist. Recordings earlier in 2017 in collaboration with industry heavyweights Unified Music Group. The first signees were break out Brisbane producer Golden Vessel and Gold Coast sibling duo Lastlings.

Media and fans alike called his Splendour set one of the festival highlights and his 'Selfish' single launch shows sold out in blistering fashion so you'll want to jump on tickets to avoid missing out.
