Taking to the Twilight at Taronga stage for the first time are Sydney indie rockers and live favourites The Jezabels who recently released their stand-alone track 'The Others' in their 10th anniversary year.

Recorded with the band's long time producer, Lachlan Mitchell, and mixed by Bob Clearmountain (Bruce Springsteen, The Cure, Crowded House) 'The Others' is the first track The Jezabels have released since 2016's critically acclaimed third album, Synthia, and is not connected with any album or other project.

The Jezabels' said, "We're revisiting our romantic roots in this new song, though with a newfound directness. Lyrically it's a reflection of the kind of intense loneliness that makes simply being in one's own body feel painful. The unsolvable predicament of ones desire for another crossing over into a desire to lose yourself, where the body is both the blissful point of contact, but also, the thing which keeps you constantly separate. Musically we have tried to sit that on a soundscape that is both euphoric and melancholy, driving but pensive."

Predominantly a live band, The Jezabels have played many of the major Australian festivals and have toured internationally with the likes of Garbage, Depeche Mode and Imagine Dragons.

 The Jezables will be supported by Western Australian native, Stella Donnelly. The release of her debut EP 'Thrush Metal' was met with critical acclaim and forged Donnelly to the forefront of the new guard of Australian songwriters. Donnelly finished out 2017 on a high, winning Triple J's Unearthed Artist of the Year award. We can't wait for Stella Donnelly to make her Twilight at Taronga debut in 2018!

Proof of age 18+ must be presented at hamper collection and the bars.
All tickets include return ferry from Circular Quay from 5.15pm; bus transfer from Taronga wharf to Zoo entrance; and post-show buses to Spit Junction, Mosman.
Taronga Zoo is a not for profit organisation. All proceeds from Twilight at Taronga will go towards Taronga's conservation projects.
