In collaboration with Vivid Sydney, Leadbelly will be showcasing local talent for an "Inner Westival" celebration over a few nights in June.

Sunday June 10th will showcase three of Sydney's most exciting musical expeditionaries of Soul, Indie and Jazz. Expect everything from dizzying highs of improvised groove magic to the soft lulls of intimate vocal harmonies and guitar work featuring live performances from (in alphabetical order): Ben Panucci, Bin Juice & GODTET.

BEN PANUCCI (NEW VENUSIANS)

Think Mac Demarco meets Father John Misty and Jeff Buckley at the pub...where they proceed to laugh and cry over many beers.

Sought after, Sydney based guitarist, Ben Panucci (New Venusians, Cope St Parade), has now taken centre stage with his debut release as a solo artist, from his self produced album 'Age of Consequence'. Showcasing his talents as a guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer, Ben's highly personal lyrics and intricate, yet uplifting production will be sure to catch ears.

GODTET

GODTET push the boundaries of improvised music within a framework of hip hop, jazz, soul and psychedelia. Featuring Tully Ryan on drums, Jan Bangma on bass, Andrew Bruce keys, Dominic Kirk percussion and led by Godriguez on guitar, who first stepped out as the producer and creative force behind Sampa The Great's breakthrough release "The Great Mixtape", GODTET is about as one reviewer noticed "a very honest document on letting players play" where "you can't deny the tangible sense of cohesion amongst the players, their interaction with each other is both subtle and electrifying" (4zzz radio).

GODTET released their debut end of '17 and quickly followed it with a packed out and hyped residency. 2018 has seen numerous festival appearances with another residency in May as GODTET release their second LP which further blurs the lines between modern production using samples and a reactive band.

BIN JUICE

Sydney based band, Bin Juice's latest release, Watermellon represents a movement from the band's untempo beginnings to something more soulful and groove oriented.
