With an eye to the classic R&B sounds of the 1960's, the duo of Mark Palmer (keys/vocals) and Anthea White (vocals) have shaped a sonic identity all their own. From the streets of Tokyo to the stage of the Sydney Opera house; from Australia to the musical depths of the New York City, the HIPSTONES have established themselves as one of the premier soul bands on the scene today.

With their eight-piece powerhouse ensemble tearing up New York's funkiest clubs, Mark and Anthea have built a sound that's just a little bit Marvin Gaye, and a whole lot modern day. Their latest album, Dreamers (2010), is a testament to their unique vision and mastery of all things jazz, soul, funk and groove.

Deeply soulful, yet with the ability to sail effortlessly through the most intricate jazz melodies, Virna Sanzone is renowned for her passionate delivery and remarkable improvisational approach, whether reinterpreting other people's songs or performing her own powerful originals. She has long been regarded as one of this country's finest singers and has lent her voice to projects featuring many of Australia's greats, including Paul Kelly, Wendy Matthews and a who's who of Australian jazz luminaries. Under her own name, Virna has been steadily building a loyal and dedicated following, and in recent years has started to attract attention in the USA, winning over new fans from New York to Nashville. She brings with her a world of diverse musical influences and an exceptional band.
