The Citradels are releasing their seventh album Where's One? on the fourteenth of May, a work

which proves to be their most honest, complex and daring release to date.

Over a nine-month period between 2015-2016 the band worked furiously on piecing this album together. The songs collectively produce an experience that evokes themes such as love, insanity, paranoia and isolation.

The album has been heavily influenced by the instrumental arrangements and song writing of Brian Wilson's genius albums Smile and Pet Sounds. The band has embraced the use of modern sounds and sampling, inspired by bands such as Panda Bear and MGMT to further deepen the sonic textures within the album. Where's One? takes influence from a broader collection of music, encompassing all genres from acid folk to jazz to shoegaze. The Citradels seamlessly blend musical influences with the aim to create a sound that is difficult to pigeonhole. The album was produced in the band's dilapidated home in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. It was tracked in a range of different locations around the house, including the bedrooms, the toilet and a makeshift vocal booth in the laundry. All instruments were played and recorded by the band, using a permanently set up home studio.

The Citradels live show has transformed just as their music has, to encapsulate the spirit of the album and includes four part harmonies, seamless sectional changes, aggressive noise and stare-downs. The band is self- releasing this album on vinyl, available for pre-order on the 10th of April (including free advanced download 2 weeks before release date) for $25 from the bands Bandcamp page. Releasing all albums has cost the band nothing but time, energy and love for music. As all previous works, this album will be shared online in a digital format with a 'pay as you feel' option. We will also have copies of the album for sale at all the performances.
