The Black Seeds smashed apart the clouds with some brilliant lighting and a two and a half hour set of reggae madness - Drum Media, 08.On the back of their sold-out tour in March, New Zealand reggae-soul heavyweights The Black Seeds have announced their return to Australia for three shows in October. Described by the UK's Clash Magazine as one of the best live reggae acts on the planet, The Black Seeds return with their legendary 8-piece live show and boundary-crossing fusion of big-beat funk, dub, and soul, mixed with vintage roots-reggae. The tour coincides with the worldwide digital release of The Black Seeds, "Specials" a collection of remixes and versions from their latest album Solid Ground. The band has also just launched a remix competition from their website where fans can create their very own Black Seeds remix.
The winning artist will have their track featured on the forthcoming release, as well as receiving a percentage of profits from its sales. The Black Seeds have been continuing to spread their unique brand of reggae around the globe in recent years and have just returned from a successful tour of North America and Europe in July/August, which included performances at major festivals such as Camp Bisco (U.S), and The Big Chill (U.K).
