To celebrate 25 years of Musical Mischief, The Empress Hotel is hosting a series of very special performances by some of its favourite Melbourne alumni. Closing night of this series will feature the antics of Justin Hazelwood aka THE BEDROOM PHILOSOPHER.

The Bedroom Philosopher has the heart of a musician, the brain of a comedian and the face of a hot female character actor. He has just about done everything humanly possible in his short existence on earth. He's been a regular on JJJ's Morning Show, released several hilarious albums, performed live as a serious musician, performed live as a hilarious musician (including all the major festivals), featured on TV, released a book, been published in as many magazines as one might care to mention and recently found his video for 'Northcote (So Hungover)' go so viral that he created his own YouTube response to it.

Hectic.

This performance will not be his first at The Empress. The big dorky man in the glasses has performed in front of the hallowed red curtains regularly over the years, bringing belly laughs on every occasion. Along with his band The Awkwardstra he will surely make for a fitting closure to the week.

In support will be several very special guests including D.D Dumbo - a wildly entertaining duo who play loopy pop songs like their lives depend on it.

Two of The Basics (Kris is working in Africa) will also tag along to spin some tunes (and play some if we're lucky).

PLUS! There will be a very special performance by a mystery band called 'Presidents & Shitkickers'. All we can say is that after this lil show they will be heading to Byron Bay to play at a very big festival the following weekend.
