Sydney Youth Music and Rad Records with the support of City of Sydney will be hosting 'TAKE KARE'; all ages, drug & alcohol free, live music event on Saturday 16th August at GoodGod Small Club alongside local Australian metal/hardcore acts Vices, Elegist, 'I, Valiance', Road to Ransome and more to raise awareness for The Thomas Kelly Youth foundation

This event will be the first ever all ages, drug & alcohol free, metalcore event that the venue has ever held.

The Thomas Kelly Youth foundation was founded in 2012 as a legacy to the young Thomas Kelly, who passed away as a result of an unprovoked, violent king hit in Kings Cross. It was established in response to alcohol-related violence and promotes a responsible drinking culture to ensure community safety in the streets. The foundation created the Take Kare initiative, after Thomas Kelly's initials, to develop programs to promote safety surrounding alcohol consumption.

Sydney Youth Music team (SYM); the team is a newly formed group of young people within the Sydney Metropolitan Area working together to organise and run live events in venues within the city that usually do not cater for an AA audience.

Rad Records is a Sydney based record label, booking agency, management and touring company with an aim to put on shows all around Australia and worldwide, promote, manage, represent and guide artists to be the best they can and look after the business side of things so that artists can focus on their music.

Sydney Youth Music and Rad Records supports the Thomas Kelly Youth Foundation and Take Kare and the issue's importance for young people, especially within the scope of live music events, fostering an environment which is safe for young people in the city."
