Sydney Tea Festival 2017

Carriageworks on Sunday 20 August

The Sydney Tea Festival is back for a one-day celebration of specialty loose leaf tea, held at Carriageworks. Both dedicated tea lovers and the tea curious will discover something new!

Tea Market

Spend the day wandering around a tea market that features dozens of specialty and artisan tea stalls. Discover teas and tisanes from all over the world as you explore stalls with your porcelain tea tasting cup in hand. Talk to tea purveyors and learn more about tea varieties and brewing. Pick up some hand-made teaware and indulge in delicious sweet or savoury treat. There's also a Brew Lounge where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea, A DIY Tea Blending Station and tea ceremony performances throughout the day.

Tea Tasting Cup

Sample tea from different stallholders all day with a take home porcelain tasting cup. One cup is included with each entry ticket (valued at $5.00).

Tea Workshops & Talks

Immerse yourself in the finer details of tea with some of Australia's leading specialists as they host educational talks, tasting, demonstrations and hands-on sessions. Workshops cover a range of topics and have limited capacity so pick up a ticket before they sell out.

Exploring Native Australian Teas and Bush Foods 9:30am - 10:30am

Baking with Tea 11.30am - 12:30pm

Discovering Kombucha 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Intro to Tea Blending** 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Ticket Info

Each entry ticket includes a $5.00 take home porcelain tasting cup.
Door sale tickets purchased at the venue on the day are $20.00 + credit card fees.
Kids under 12 are free, they do not require a ticket but will need to purchase a $5 tasting cup if they wish to sample.
Workshop/Talk tickets do not include entry into the festival, these must be purchased separately.
