It’s loud, and it shouts out the themes of freedom and unity

he Mattara Festival of Newcastle celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2011 and is still today one of the Hunter's premier community-based festivals.   Mattara's Festival over the years has been a wonderful launch pad for all Local upcoming artists and performers; Mattara's program encompasses many musical elements, sport, traditional crafts, performing and visual arts, sculptures, workshops, displays and exhibits, information stalls and much more.   Over the past few years financial support has been hard to gain, so in order to keep Mattara alive for the community of Newcastle & surrounds we are working together with Newcastle Panthers to help make this happen.
