Village Sounds & Secret Service present
Splendour in the Grass 2011 Tickets QLD
11:00am, Fri 29th July, 2011 - 12:00am, Mon 1st August, 2011
This event has passed and sales are now closed
SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS - the annual, ephemeral city of sounds that exists solely for sweet music and good times will transform Woodfordia, near Woodford, south east Queensland from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 July.
SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS ticketholders are now able to reissue their tickets to another person
In response to the issue of tickets in the resale facility not being subject to the same demand this year as they have in the past, a reissue option has been provided to give ticketholders more flexibility in finding someone else who can use their ticket. The reissue option will run in addition to the existing resale facility and ticketholders no longer able to attend this year's festival now have the choice of putting their ticket up for resale or changing the name and date of birth details on their ticket via their Moshtix account.
The reason you need to provide your credit card details (or an alternate credit card) again is that you will be charged a $20 reissue fee. Those with tickets already in the resale will recall that at the time of putting their ticket back on the market they paid a $20 resale fee plus the amount of their original booking fee. Unfortunately one casualty of getting the reissues up and running is that there is no automatic resale fee refund function in place. Rest easy though, your resale fee and the original booking fee WILL be refunded, it just needs to be done manually by Moshtix. Such refunds will be done in batches on a regular basis but please note this refund may not appear in your account for a few working days.
Don't be alarmed when you see the Tax Invoice / Confirmation PDF that will be sent to you after the reissue has been completed it will carry the full purchase price of the relevant ticket you have had reissued, but you will only have been charged the $20 reissue fee for the service.
CHANGED YOUR MIND ABOUT NOT GOING?
There have been numerous inquiries from people who have put their ticket in the resale but have now changed their mind and want to use it. To remove your ticket from the resale, please email your request to email@example.com along with the Ticket ID or order number and the name on the ticket.
The ticket resale system allows those who bought a ticket but can no longer attend, the chance to legitimately re-sell their ticket to recoup most of their original outlay. This then provides another opportunity for those who missed out in the main sale to nab a genuine ticket, all subject to availability of course. Likewise, the ticket put back up for sale remains the property of the seller until it is purchased by a third party. If a ticket is not purchased it remains valid for use by the original purchaser.
The ticket resale facility will be offered via moshtix.com.au for 10 weeks from Thursday 26th May until 5pm Mon 25th July (for sellers) or 5pm Tues 26th July 2011 (for buyers).
The Woodfordia campgrounds will open from 7am Wednesday 27 July until 5pm Monday 1 August. Please note the entire festival site including the three main stages - Amphitheatre, Mix Up Stage and GW McLennan Tent - will operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. For those camping onsite, the event area will open from 9am Thursday 28 July with a bunch of spaces and entertainment in full swing to keep you busy right across the weekend.
Due to the very heavy traffic congestion when arriving and departing SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS 2010 we have spent the past year working on initiatives that will simultaneously ease traffic on local roads and within Woodfordia, whilst also creating a greener event. Borrowing from other international music festivals that have experienced similar issues, and in an effort to radically reduce traffic congestion, we will be implementing a car pass system which will encourage carpooling. Anyone driving to the event will need to purchase a Vehicle Access Pass ($30 inc fees and charges) from moshtix.com.au from June 1st to be able to enter the campground or carpark. Camping patrons can receive a full refund by having 3 or more occupants (each with event-camping tickets) in their vehicle.
