Space NYD14 press release

Are you sitting down? Comfortable? Good, because here comes the SPACE NYD 2014 line up. This is one to grip your knees tightly over. Spread the news far and wide because you don't want to be responsible for those who miss out. So without further ado, here it is. Buckle up!

Yousef

Roll up, roll up, because the Circus head honcho makes his grand return to Australia for the 5th Annual New Years Day Party in Sydney,

2013 has been a big year for Yousef -there's the release of the inescapable 'Bigger Than Prince' remixes on his Circus Recordings imprint, his own remixes for labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Carl Cox as well as a new direction vocal release 'I See' through Defected. There is little ground this forward thinking producer hasn't touched.

This year also marked the debut of CIRCUS in the Ibiza summer roster so one can only begin to imagine the goody bag that is Yousef's record case when he lands to blow the roof off The Greenwood Hotel at SPACE NYD 2O14.

Joining Yousef on the heaving bill is Crazy P Soundsystem.

You may remember them by their slightly more risqu moniker Crazy Penis but this five piece have been slaying festival and club crowds like it is no one's business since the early noughties.

Blending together underground disco, dollops of deep electronica and with a sharp ear for pop, the eccentric outfit have recently remixed Australia's own Flight Facilities, as well as shared bills across the globe with the likes of Dixon, Horsemeat Disco, Yusek and Late Nite Tuff Guy this year alone.

Leeds based producers Audiojack are also on the roll call to help bring in the New Year with Space.

The duo's Gruuv label has only continued to go from strength to strength - Germany's Marc Romboy recently released his latest EP 'Trax That Make You Reminisce Vol.1' on the label, as well as a steady stream of releases from the likes of Copy Paste Soul, A1 Bassline plus many more.

And then there is the delicious back catalogue the pair have churned out on labels such as 20:20 Vision, Diynamic and Get Physical that have championed support from everyone to Pete Tong and Annie Nightingale to DJ T and Seth Troxler.

Kehakuma resident Javi Bora adds to the gargantuan line up. Recently nominated for Best Artist of the Year (public vote) and Best Tech House Artist at the Vicious Music Awards, the people have certainly spoken - Javi is one to keep an eye on

Also entering the fray is King of Balearica Jonathan Ulysses. One of the longest running residents of SPACE Ibiza, it seems only fitting that Jonathan joins the line up that brings the Ibiza spirit to Sydney.

Rounding out the line up are Mr Doris and Mo'Funk. If you've ever caught a set by Mr Doris, you'll know that genre is just a word. Blending elements from jazz, latin, dubstep, drum'n'bass, hip-hop, soul, house or afrobeat - if it sounds good, chances are Mr. Doris is giving it a spin. He is also curator of After Dark at We Love Space Ibiza, bringing artists such as DJ Yoda, Krafty Kuts and A-Skillz to the melting pot that is Ibiza clubbing.

Australia's own Mo'Funk has spent an impressive six seasons DJ'ing in Ibiza - not too shabby for a relative unknown who packed up his records and headed to the party isle in 2007. Especially since he found himself playing at Pacha Ibiza up to four nights per week - as they say, the rest is history. Warm up slots for DJ Sneak, Swedish House Mafia, DJ Shadow and Grandmaster Flash? All in a days work for Mo'Funk.

For those who like their BPM that little bit faster and their bass that little bit deeper, fear not. The Bass Drop crew return to SPACE NYD in the Chapel and are proud to present S.P.Y and MC Lowqui.

Signed to seminal Drum 'n' Bass label Hospital, Brazillian born S.P.Y received lavish praise for his debut 'What The Future Holds' which also took out the Best Album award at the 2012 Drum n Bass Arena Awards.

Throw in releases on Metalheadz, Shogun, support from the likes of Andy C - not to mention his devastating remix of James Zabiela's 'Perserverance', it's safe to say S.P.Y is a must see for SPACE NYD.

The local support roster includes the likes of Garry Todd & Matt Cahill plus more to be announced -if the entire line up hasn't tuckered you out by the end of the day, you can keep the vibes strong at the official after party at Goldfish, featuring four guest international DJ's.
