Something to Rescue
Adelaide based pop band, Something To Rescue, releases new single off their upcoming EP ‘When I Come Home’.
After a two-year hiatus, young Adelaide band Something To Rescue have released the first of five new songs from their new EP, and fans are already loving its soul and funk inspired melody.
Written by band members James, Julian and Lucas, the song 'How to Love' is the product of a new musical direction by the trio and the EP, to be released in early June, is proof of their talent and musical maturity.
Lead singer and guitarist James Cummings says the band's new direction was influenced by some of their favourite artists such as James Bay and Maroon 5 and they hoped to create a more natural sound.
"We've tried to develop our music further by introducing gospel inspired melodies and harmonies, as well as a range of natural percussion and production techniques,' says James.
"Our new music has been a long time coming so we hope our fans enjoy the new songs and this new direction".
The band, which formed in 2012, has a strong following after performing with the likes of Short Stack and The Getaway Plan.
To celebrate the launch of their new EP, Something to Rescue will be headlining a show to be held at Jive, Adelaide on Friday 9 June.
