The third of our incredibly popular Smooth Jazz nights. Featuring some of Sydney's finest singers and musicians, playing the music of Al Jarreau and George Benson, two legends of the Smooth Jazz genre. With 17 Grammys between them, endless hits guaranteed! Once again, tonight's show is presented by Musical Directors Aldo Alibrandi and Noel Elmowy

GEORGE BENSON's unmistakeable guitar and voice is a magic combination. Think On Broadway, Give Me The Night, This Masquerade, and Breezin', the track that went ballistic for him and introduced this wonderful jazz guitarist to a worldwide audience of millions. 30 albums, ten Grammys and multi-platinum sales make George Benson one of the all time greats.

AL JARREAU's trophy cupboard holds seven Grammys, and he also has another 15 nominations in his pocket. Renowned as a soul, jazz and R&B singer, he's a musical genius, the only vocalist in history to win Grammys in three different categories. Hits include We'e In This Love Together, Boogie Down, Your Precious Love and Day By Day.

Between them Al Jarreau and George Benson more or less define the Adult Contemporary genre known as Smooth Jazz. Their music combines beautiful singing with brilliant songwriting and playing, over deep, sexy, swingin' grooves. Get the vibe when outstanding vocalists Kimi Tupaea, Christo Alexander, Sancha Prowse and Danny Mac present a night of their very best tracks, with Smooth Jazz Australia's musical directors Aldo Alibrandi and Noel Elmowy, and Mitch Farmer, Ralph Marshall, Kuki, the Smooth Jazz Horns and Troy Smith.

SMOOTH JAZZ AUSTRALIA is dedicated to bringing you the best of the best, played and sung live on stage. Smooth Jazz is massive in the USA, Europe and Japan. It's been one of the world's most popular contemporary music genres since Funk, Soul and R&B crossed over into Jazz. By the time the 70s and 80s came around and Jazz Fusion was thrown into the mix, the genre had become an indelible part of FM radio programming, helping to launch pop-chart sized careers for artists like Tom Scott, George Benson, Eric Gale, Ronny Jordan, Bob James, Randy Crawford, Fourplay, The Rippingtons, David Sanborn and Al Jarreau.

Our Smooth Jazz nights are a great opportunity to hear this music LIVE, brought centre stage by an incredible band of local jazz, soul, funk and R&B players and singers.
