In today's day in age women are still a minority in the music industry. Often sexualised and/or undermined, with their ideas treated as lesser or not even heard. Women are often used to add the "feminine flavour" to a band, and are told exactly where their place is. Thing is... we live in a society where women have to support themselves in a lot of cases on their own, both materialistically and creatively. "This is a man's world" sang James Brown, and it's true that to stay in business as musicians and artists, women have to step into their masculine to survive, sometimes at the expense of their feminine, which is often considered the weaker energy.

'Sirens Of Soul' provides a space for women to shine in all their colours, celebrating their feminine power as much as their vulnerability and softness. It focuses on the feminine energy being the inspiration for music and creation.

Following a super successful live launch of a new video, Senivoda is creating a month long residency each Wednesday in June at The Toff In Town Bandroom, featuring Melbourne's freshest fusion soul bands inspired and fronted by women, plus DJs and mad visuals by AWHI.
