In conjunction with Umbrella: Winter City Sounds and Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR), Music SA Presents Scouted; a mini festival of South Australia's most prominent unsigned musical talents, spread across Adelaide's East End on Friday, July 28.

Set to coincide with the AIR Awards and the inaugural two-day music industry conference to be held in Adelaide on July 27 and 28, Scouted will showcase South Australia's most prominent, unsigned and original artists in front of the country's music industry leaders, renowned Australian independent musicians and admiring fans.

Scouted will include the electric-soul pop of WOMADelaide festival favourites Electric Fields, independent brit-punk outfit Young Offenders who will be fresh off their Glastonbury Festival performance, the energetic angst-ridden rock of Bec Stevens, and off the back of their set at the sold-out Groovin The Moo festival is Heaps Good Friends.

Other artists announced today include Tom West, who returns from a whirlwind Australian tour and another who graced the Groovin The Moo festival; he is joined by 2016 SAM Awards Best Female Artist winner and indie-pop songwriter Mane; newcomer Alana Jagt bringing some heartache and alt-country twang with her band The Monotremes, heavyweight rockers Battlehounds, one of Australia's brightest indie rockers, Timberwolf, 23 year old South Sudanese hip-hop poet DyspOra, the truly unique introspective pop of Rin McArdle, the 90's grunge in Nakatomi's electro- pop; the heart breaking and ambient melodies of Maggie Rutjens, electronic aesthetic of Hunt and the combination of alt soul, blues and R&B from Ollie English.

Through the support from the South Australian Government's newly established Live Music Events Fund, the AIR Awards will continue to be held in Adelaide for the next three years (2017-2019).

AIR delegates can gain free access to the festival with their delegates lanyard, and a limited number of general admission tickets are now on sale to the public via the ticket link above.

There will be food trucks, drink specials, an outdoor laneway stage and 15 local bands to discover. At just $20 for a festival wristband ($30 at the door) we've got your night sorted - so bring a crew and come and support your locals!
