Following the release of his new material, with the single "Thicker Than Water" as premiered via Gilles Peterson Worldwide - Sampology today announces his live national tour and mixtape 'Birds of a Feather'.

From October 21, through till early November, witness the Brisbane artist as he whirls around the country with his new live show - visiting Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in celebration of his forthcoming Natural Selections EP, out September 23 via Soul Has No Tempo.

After taking a break from his renowned AV shows, Sam Poggioli aka Sampology has returned with an abundance of new material - and in preparation for the tour and EP release, shares his mixtape 'Birds of a Feather'. Far from a standard affair, the fourteen-track mixtape showcases the innovative ear and depth to the producer's talents, weaving together his wide-ranging influences, live arrangements and friends' vocal and instrumental talents, including a Schoolboy Q cover from London-via-Brisbane's Jordan Rakei.

As a torchbearer for collaborative inspiration, Sampology's passion for extracting and supporting emerging talent from the depths of Brisbane's evolving Soul/Electronic scene is inspiring. The forthcoming six-track Natural Selections EP, delves into Poggioli's afro-percussive and organic influences, and alongside his own lush, live instrumentation, features guests Hiatus Kaiyote cover artist Laneous, NZ-born/Berlin-based (via Brisbane) artist Noah Slee as well as his own family.

Sampology's new live show has transcended visually to become an original art production, juxtaposing animations developed from the EP artwork by his mother Sue Poggioli with footage throughout. Often touted as a pioneer of Audio Visual performance, Sampology has toured the world extensively from India to Germany to China to North America and his home country Australia playing numerous theatres, venues and arts and music festivals. Don't miss experiencing the vast musical talent that orbits Sampology when he returns to the stage from late October.
