Philadelphian post-metal entity ROSETTA is set to return to Australia this July/August for no less than 15 dates. Having captivated Australian audiences with an overwhelmingly powerful live show as a relatively unknown band making their first international voyage back in 2008, the four-piece went on to release their critically acclaimed third album 'A Determinism of Morality' in 2010. In the years since they've been a part of various split releases with Year of No Light, East of The Wall, Restorations, and Junius, as well as having undertaken multiple European tours and performed with acts as mighty as Neurosis, Hopesfall and Old Man Gloom. The tour is set to be professionally filmed and included in the band's forthcoming documentary release.
This time fellow US group and partners in crime CITY OF SHIPS are also along for the ride. Defying specific classification with an eclectic mixture of epic and grooving sounds, the band's awing second album 'Minor World', released in 2011, saw comparisons to latter-career Thrice, Cave In and Isis.
Brisbane-based and self-proclaimed 'sunshine metal' group NUCLEAR SUMMER will round out the tour. Having released their extremely diverse self-titled debut album late last year, the band's rising activity has recently seen them slotted onto supports with such international groups as La Dispute and The Ocean.
