Saturday September 8 will hail the 5th Rhyme Intervention Festival, to be held at Zierholz at UC. Featuring some of the hottest names in Aussie Hip Hop including of Reason & Briggs, Def Wish Cast, Dazastah & Layla and Ciecmate & Newsense who will be supported by the country's best up and comers.

Rhyme Intervention is a revolutionary concept which was launched almost 10 years ago in 2003 as a small yet purposefully organised event. Originally consisting of a handful of local hip hop artists, the festival was first conceived as an opportunity to raise money for the Cancer Council and this year will of course be no exception.

With a history of impressive turnouts, the event has proven itself as a phenomenal experience. Quite simply put, Rhyme Intervention has set the standard for how it is and should be done, encapsulating the true essence of the Australian Hip Hop scene, and all in the name of charity.

Featuring a greater breadth of artists including Oz Hip Hop veteran and pioneer Reason from Obese Records will be performing his last ever solo set alongside DJ Bids and Golden Era's big man Briggs! The almighty Def Wish Cast will also be showing their support and blessing us with their presence in a bid to help raise money and awareness for the Cancer Council. Coming all the way from Western Australia to help make this years Rhyme Intervention the best yet will be Layla & Dazastah. The WA act  would like to take the opportunity to pay tribute to the loss of their late dear friend Hunter, who is missed dearly in the Australian hip hop scene. 

There will be stalls, giveaways, an old fashioned BBQ and a live graffiti exhibition to showcase some of the country's most talented spray artists. Rhyme Intervention 5 is gearing up to be the biggest, most successful event yet!
