Event Details

Joining forces for the first time will be Sydney based singer, songwriter Jodi Phillis and Melbourne based songstress Rebecca Barnard.

Starting out in the 90s with their bands The Clouds and Rebecca's Empire, both women are excited to be playing shows together.

These special, one-off shows will be intimate and acoustic. Rebecca and Jodi will be road testing new songs and playing some of their old favourites, with a combined set at the end.

Apart from touring with The Clouds, Jodi has been recording her 5th solo album, due for release late 2018.

Rebecca released her most recent album, 'Music for Listening and Relaxation' in April 2017.

REBECCA BARNARD

Rebecca Barnard was brought up in the jazz scene in the 60's and 70's being carted around pubs and clubs at a young age with her father, drummer Len Barnard whose most notable band was Galapagos Duck. She performed for many years before forming her band Rebecca's Empire in the 90's. The band was much loved and had songs on the Triple J Hottest 100 for 3 years running. She has been a regular guest on TV shows Spicks n Specks and Rockwiz and appears often on ABC radio as co-host to various presenters. She conducts mentoring/ songwriting workshops for young women and has appeared on heaps of other artist's albums usually recorded at YIKESVILLE, the studio she built with Shane O'mara. She has just released her 3rd solo album titled "Music for Listening and Relaxation" which was inspired by her love of nature and love itself.
