Big Village Records Presents a co headline show of Rapaport and Silvertongue who first met and performed the show Sketch The Rhyme together in Edinburgh 2011.

Whilst travelling in Scotland during the Edinburgh Fringe festival, Rapaport organised a Sketch The Rhyme show with a complete Edinburgh cast of artists, DJ and an incredible local freestyle MC Silvertongue. At the time Silvertongue was a 21yr old Freestyle Battle Champ, the go to MC for all hip hop, and Bass music events in Edinburgh.  After 6 weeks Rapaport came back to Edinburgh, before returning to Australia and once again performed Sketch The Rhyme with the full Scottish crew.

After Rapaport returned to Australia, Silvertongue continued to perform the Scottish version of Sketch The Rhyme under Rapaport's permission for 4 more successful shows over the next 2 years, but has now relocated to Perth. Rapaport and Silvertongue have kept in touch throughout the last few years, and are planning on working on new music together in the coming months.

RAPAPORT

Rapaport is one of the most creatively diverse MCs in Australia and has contributed substantially to the Australian Hip Hop landscape as a leader and innovator through a decade of significant releases and influential projects.

Rapaport's solo set is an unrelenting tour de force of percussive, flow heavy grime raps over bass heavy electronica, minimal techno and deep hip hop. The songs represent a career of genre bending musicality and comedic lyricism delivered by a master of the craft of MCing. Rapaport has released two albums with hip hop group Loose Change, most recently 'Listening Party' in 2013, solo grime mixtape 'Patterns' in 2012, and a debut solo album in 2008.

SILVERTONGUE

Silvertongue is one of Scotlands finest young MCs who has built a strong underground following in the UK hip hop before recently relocating Perth 6 months ago. Silvertongue has released 2 albums, the Chronsoon Season and The Gatsby Tape both available on Bandcamp.

Silvertongue featured in Don't Flop Battles in the UK, gaining a reputation as a formidable freestyler and a charismatic competitor.

Now permanently based in Perth, he is well underway carving a place for himself in the Australian scene, with a recent show at Hussle Hussle at Mojos receiving strong reviews from locals and media.
