THE CHEF AND THE RULER TOUR

The two iconic hip hop acts will be delivering unforgettable performances in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra throughout the month of June.

For 25 years, Raekwon has been one of the most sought out voices in hip hop. From breaking through with his Wu-Tang Clan cohorts to his classic debut Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Raekwon is a true icon.

Making his musical debut on the 1993 classic album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). There, the young MC dropped iconic verses on classic singles 'C.R.E.A.M.', 'Protect Ya Neck', and 'Can It All Be So Simple'.

Raekwon's critically acclaimed and platinum certified debut solo release Only Built 4 Cuban Linx remains one of the cornerstones of hip hip from the 90s and now in 2018, his tools are only getting sharper.

His freshly released seventh solo album, The Wild (out now through Ice H20 Records / EMPIRE) features the likes of CeeLo Green, Lil Wayne and G-Eazy has drawn even more success for the musical veteran.

"Does Raekwon have gas left in the tank? The Wild's answer is a definitive yes." - Pitchfork

"The Wild is a worthy addition to Raekwon's extensive discography"

- Consequence of Sound

Multi award winning, eye patch wearing Slick Rick has built a career on combining narratives with adventurous production. The performer adds vocal drama to his lyrics by adopting a range for different characters in his songs, delivered in his unique British American hybrid accent.

"Hip-hop's greatest storyteller." - All Music

Rick - known as "The Ruler" - introduced himself with a two-sided single 'La-di-da-di'/'The Show' before releasing four hugely successful records, including 1988's The Great Adventures of Slick Rick containing the Pitchfork favourite 'Children's Story' which inspired Montell Jordan's 'This is How We Do It'.

Chart topping record The Great Adventures of Slick Rick is among the few albums to receive a perfect five-mic score from long standing rap magazine, The Source.

Rick's influential tracks 'Children's Story', 'Hey Young World' and 'Mona Lisa' have been used more than 650 times by the likes of TLC, Missy Elliot, Migos, Snoop Dogg, Usher and Beyonce making him the most sampled artist of all time.

Opportunities to see two of the most influential rappers of all time don't come around often. Secure your tickets as soon as possible to these one off shows!
