Possibly the biggest dance artists in the world right now with hits such as "Language" and "Easy", Porter Robinson is heading to Academy on Friday 18th of October

Academy Club, Kicks Entertainment and Vamp Music present the one and only Porter Robinson, with support from the transcending hard hitting group, The M Machine (Live).

This 20-year-old talent has been touted by his peers (read Ti sto, Skrillex and Deadmau5) as one of the nu-breed saviors of electronic music, and having only experienced the limelight for a short amount of time, his achievements paint the picture of a bright future.

2011 saw Porter achieve what some do in an entire career. He provided tour support to Ti sto and Skrillex, as well as debut appearances at Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival and Electric Zoo that led to him entering DJ Mag's Top 100 and the Billboard Top 21 Under 21 chart. His Spitfire EP, which crashed Beatport's servers on release, smashed its way to the #1 position in the process and held fort for 2 weeks solid. 

However, 2012 saw Porter growing even further with appearances in top-billed slots on those same festivals plus Coachella, Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Lollapalooza. He released the hit single "Language" to great acclaim and constant radio spins around the world - not to mention #1 spots on the Beatport Overall and iTunes Dance charts. Porter begins 2013 with the release of his acclaimed Mat Zo co-production "Easy", which quickly reached #1 on both Beatport and Hype Machine. A full length album is progress, as is yet another strong festival season which includes Ultra Music Festival, EDC, Creamfields, Bonnaroo, The X-Games, Wireless Fest, Tomorrowland, Fuji Rock, and Global Gathering.

THE M MACHINE

The M Machine is an electronic music trio hailing from San Francisco, CA. Formed in 2011 by Ben Swardlick, Eric Luttrell, and Andy Coenen, the group has quickly risen to prominence on the strength of their wholly original and forward-thinking sound.

Transcending genre, the group effortlessly bounds between hard-hitting dance tracks and thoughtful, indie-styled vocal songs, tying it all together with a distinctly cinematic presentation. The group also designed, built, and performs its own live visuals in the form of a massive LED version of their iconic "M". It is this eclectic and all-encompassing approach towards their craft that has distinguished The M Machine as something very unique in the world of electronic music.
