Event Details

Playing for Change Band with several guest artists will be playing at The Basement in Sydney on Wednesday 30th March following their Bluesfest appearance in Byron Bay. The show in in support the “Gimme Shelter” campaign for the earthquake victims in Nepal and peace in the Congo. We kick off at 7.00 p.m. And the show is featuring the best band line up we have ever had and many surprises.

Tickets are strictly limited. General admission tickets are $40.00 plus booking fee - Tickets are selling out fast and your chance to see one of the best bands in the world, up close and personal and meet William Aura

who will take you on a visual journey to Nepal through the eyes of the many children who have found new inspiration, hope and a new beginning.

Playing for Change stand for so much more than just music. It is a movement created to inspire, connect and bring peace to the world through music. Playing for Change supports music schools and programs that are created and operated by the local community and then purposefully connect those communities around the world.

The band is made up of musicians from all walks of life coming from all over the world!: Grandpa Elliott - Vocals (USA), Clarence Bekker - Vocals (Netherlands), Mermans Mosengo Vocals/Guitar/Percussion (Congo), Jason Tamba - Vocals/Guitar (Congo), Titi Tsira - Vocals (South Africa), Tula - Vocals (Israel), Roberto Luti - Guitar (Italy), Peter Bunetta - Drums (USA), Juan Carlos Portillo - Bass (Venezuela) and Keiko Komaki - Keys (Japan) Eyal Hai (Israel) Saxophone, plus some amazing special guests, that will blow you away!

Playing for Change has support the world over, by millions - with many "A" list stars professing their love for the Music - and the Foundation! A dream of bringing Peace to the world through Music. Previously joined on stage and in video, with loving support from Keith Richards, Bono, Bonnie Raitt, Joss Stone, Jackson Browne, Keb Mo, Yoko Ono and many, many more international stars.

Australians - Blue King Brown, William Barton, Genevieve Chadwick, Kim Churchill, Glenn Cardier and others, have also featured with the Band.

General Admission ticket buyers have an added option of purchasing The Basement's Plate & Glass deal on the following booking page.

The Plate & Glass meal includes one meal option with one glass of selected wine which will be made available at the Green Room Bar from the time doors open through to 10:30pm.

Dinner & Show tickets include entry, seating and 2 course meal.

Dinner & Show tickets are only available via Moshtix.

Some Dinner & Show Bookings may be on a shared table. Please let us know at the time of the booking as a special request should you prefer not to share, and subject to availability we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Note it is not possible to join ticket holders together across ticket groups (meaning A Reserve ticket holders cannot sit with B Reserve etc).

The Basement has very limited accessibility for patrons with disabilities, however please contact the venue to ensure there is adequate availability for you to enjoy the show comfortably and they can advise on the recommended seating options.

Please Note: tables cannot be joined together. Please ensure everyone you intend to seat at your table is included in your booking to avoid being seated separately. Unfortunately, Dinner & Show bookings are for a minimum of 2 people.

Specific table reservation is not available for this performance. It is the venue's decision as to which table you will be allocated. Whilst the venue would love to give everyone their preferred seats, it is not always possible. We ask that you respect this decision and enjoy the performance.
