Glaze Making and Technology
6 x Saturdays: 8 August - 12 September, 2015 (2-4.30pm)

Cost: $240 or $180 concession
This course is designed to provide learners with a practical knowledge of working with ceramic glazes as a crucial material practice. Completion of this course will expand the access and range of material practice to advanced learners within the Pine Street ceramics studio.
Techniques, knowledge and skills covered:
- Brief overview of major aesthetic traditions and glaze types in ceramics into contemporary practice
- An introduction to glaze theory and the structure of glazes (materials and elementary glaze chemistry)
- Line blends, triaxial and biaxial blending in the development and testing of glazes.
