Following a string of sold out shows on his 'Byron Sessions' Tour, Pete Murray has assembled his band of Byron Bay friends for two special shows at The Abbey Theatre Canberra on Fri 16 August and The Station Resort Jindabyne on Sat 17 August.
Since Pete Murray moved to Byron Bay eight years ago, a string of musicians have also relocated to this creative seaside hub and others have made it a regular pit stop along the touring circuit. A bunch of locals play music together, surf together, help each other out, and even babysit for each other's kids.
Pete Murray is at the heart of this community spirit. His new compendium album, Blue Sky Blue "The Byron Sessions" celebrates the collaborative Byron lifestyle and includes contributions from some very special guest artists such as Ash Grunwald, Scott Owen (The Living End), Katie Noonan, Fantine and Darren Middleton (Powderfinger).
After starting his career selling CD's out of his Kombi van and ultimately landing a worldwide record deal, Pete has grown to become one of Australia's most loved singer-songwriters with over 1 million album sales.
Catch Pete Murray and band live in concert this August.
