P. Smurf - The Story So Far Tour
Big Village Records and Freshly Squeezed are proud to present the National Tour from Daily Meds frontman P.Smurf in support of his debut EP ‘The Story So Far’.
As a founding member of Daily Meds, Sketch The Rhyme and Reverse Polarities, P.Smurf has over 8 years of performance experience under his belt and fans are in for a treat when he takes his trademark rapid fire lyricism and high-energy show on the road.
The EP's lead single 'I Heard The World Screaming' has been getting rotation on Triple J and community radio stations across the country, while P.Smurf unveiled its accompanying film clip, which is a hilarious ozploitation Skippy mash-up.
P.Smurf has had a triumphant last 12 months culminating in Daily Meds being shortlisted in the top 9 of the 2012 Australian Music Prize for their debut album Happy Daze.
To add to his accolades the hard-working 25 year old has shared the stage with the likes of Wu Tang Clan, KRS-ONE, Dj Premier and Rahzel to name a few. He has also performed at the Woodford Folk Festival, Peat 's Ridge, Melbourne Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Fringe and Come Together festivals.
After listening to his EP and seeing his live show it is obvious P.Smurf is comfortable both on-stage and in the studio. His persona is relatable, yet avoids becoming shallow, allowing him to swing easily between comedy, satire, social and political themes, all tied together by his strong rhythmical style, hard hitting punch lines and sharp wit. Definitely a tour not to miss out on.
