P.smurf has made vital contributions to the Sydney live music scene, as part of Daily Meds, Reverse Polarities and Sketch the Rhyme, for over ten years. Co-founder of Big Village Records, his new single 'Abalone' combines P.Smurf's deft punchlines and intricate lyricism with Melbourne producer Must Volkoff's boom bap drums and dusty samples.

Fusing smooth, unyielding flows with a dark, brooding melody, 'Abalone' sets the mood for P.Smurf's debut solo album, dropping later in 2017 Playing the Blues. The 7" vinyl also contains an exclusive unreleased B-Side featuring Melbourne artists P Link, Adam Koots & Downpat. Get a free download of both tracks and there instrumentals with your copy   P.Smurf's charismatic style of socially and politically charged lyrics, delivered with ferocity and percussive flows, have earned him a loyal fanbase.

He has released two mixtapes and an EP in the last five years and has toured extensively, as a solo artist and with Daily Meds and Reverse Polarities, across Australia.   As a founding member of Daily Meds, P. Smurf was integral to their successful release, Happy Daze. The album was shortlisted in the top 9 of the 2012 Australian Music Prize and was FBi's Sunsets "Album of the Week". The single "Insane" was added to Triple J high rotation and the group won Triple J Unearthed's "Come Together" Festival in 2011.
