Dust off your lederhosen and dirndl, get slapping, and get into the spirit of Oktoberfest! Just two hours from Melbourne near Colac in Victoria's south-west, Otway Estate Winery and Brewery hosts its seventh annual Oktoberfest event. Join us for a fantastic day, with live entertainment, traditional German beer, music and hearty Bavarian fare.

In traditional Bavarian fashion, large glasses will be raised to usher in the month of October this year in the Otways.

Otway Brewery, home of Prickly Moses beers, plays host to this rollicking day of hearty German fare and a fantastic range of specialty brewed craft beers.

Live Oompah band "Silver Echos" will entertain on Saturday plus the Oberbayern Slap Dancing Group will perform for your enjoyment.  Brewery tours and specialist beer tastings will be available with the brewer.

Now in its seventh year, the event attracts beer enthusiasts from right across the State.

"People are looking for better flavour and more variety in their beer", says Luke Scott, head brewer at Otway Estate. "This year we will be releasing our first brew of a traditional Dunkel Hefeweizen, as well as our Oktoberfest Lager."

Visitors from Melbourne and Geelong are encouraged to catch the VLine train service to Colac (bookings recommended), where they will be met by our Oktoberfest Shuttle service.

The shuttle buses depart Colac Railway Station at 10.15am (meets the Melb/Geelong VLine train), 11am and 12noon.  Buses start returning from 5pm.
