From the music rich maritime province of Nova Scotia, Old Man Luedecke is a rare type of musician. Incorporating stellar three-part harmonies, complex arrangements and lyrical sophistication, The Mae Trio are on a rapid rise.
Old Man Luedecke returns to Australia for a short tour, and one Melbourne show with The Mae Trio at The Spotted Mallard!
His jaunty frailing style banjo playing lending uplifting buoyancy to sometimes quite melancholy and highly unique lyrical ideas. His latest recording Domestic Eccentric is his seventh and is recorded with and produced by Tim O'Brien legendary old time and bluegrass musician.
The Mae Trio are Maggie Rigby (banjo, ukuleles, guitar, marimba and vocals), Elsie Rigby (violin, ukulele and vocals) and Anita Hillman (cello, bass and vocals). It is a rare treat to experience such unique instrumentation and spine-tingling harmonies, and The Mae Trio promises bucketloads of both.
