The Northside Jazz Orchestra was formed in Northcote in 2017. A full size 18 pce big band playing mid century big band classics and modern compositions. Paying tribute to some of the greatest composers and arrangers like,Count Basie, Neil Hefty, Sammy Nestico to name a few. The NJO also features works composed and arranged by band members. The NJO featured one of Melbournes most tallented young vocalists Nitida Atkinson whose vocal style brings a unique flavour too every song she sings. The Northside Jazz Orchestra has some of the most tallented musicians gathered from the hipest place in Australia. Dont miss the chance to experience the sound of Northside.
