The North West Festival has been privy to some incredible talent since its inception back in 2012. Wolfmother, Hilltop Hoods, Vance Joy, Peking Duk and Birds of Tokyo are just a few of the Australian legends who have graced the North West stage - and this year promises to be no different.

Without further ado we would like to introduce you to the incredible artists making the trip to Port Hedland this August;

The Rubens -  You am I -  Xavier Rudd - Sarah Blasko - The Veronicas - ShockOne - Urthboy -  Allday - Salmonella Dub - Harts - Methyl Ethel

plus local artists to be announced

One of the biggest changes the festival will see this year is proceedings starting later in the day, allowing patrons to peruse the many fringe activities happening in and around town. With more quality entertainment jam-packed into both nights, this year's event is so much more than just the Pilbara's music weekender, with great activities to enjoy prior to gates. Fringe activities include; The Hedland Art Awards, The West End Markets and brand new addition - The NWF warm up event, held at the 'The Heddy' featuring outdoor beer garden which will serve up food, drinks and live music to get festival-goers in the mood.

The much loved, family friendly event; the North West Sunday Sundowner presented by FMG is back and has a new home at the Port Hedland Yacht Club. Along with a range of great musical offerings the event will feature a series of kid's activities and performances which will wrap up what will no doubt be a memorable few days in the Pilbara.

Taking place on Sunday 21st August, we will be hosting an evening of acoustic style acts featuring;

Tim Rogers (You Am I) - Jae Laffer (The Panics) - The Elephant and The Coffee Table - Tanya Ransom

plus family friendly entertainment!

We could not think of a better way to round out the weekend with such a talented line-up of acts taking over the Sundowner stage. We also have a range of family friendly activities programmed into the evening's proceedings including; roving performers, Jumping Castle, face painting and tasty treats for big and small!

Tickets are now on sale via website,, Port Hedland Visitors Centre, & South Hedland Library.
