After achieving considerable commendations via respective releases earlier in 2014, Australian acts Morning Harvey and The Tambourine Girls have today announced an east coast co-headline tour for November to cap off an enormous year for both bands.
Led by two of the country's most understated and endearing frontmen - The Tambourine Girls' Simon Relf and Morning Harvey's Spencer White - both bands are set to deliver their captivating live shows to audiences around the country next month, with additional supporting guests to be announced soon. Starting November 14, the co-headline tour is set to deliver Morning Harvey and The Tambourine Girls to venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
After releasing the first single - titled 'Girl Euphoria (Come Back To Me)' - from their forthcoming album in January of this year, Morning Harvey are set to celebrate the release of follow-up track 'T.I.D.E.'. Recorded with acclaimed producer Magoo in Brisbane's Applewood Studios, the track maintains Morning Harvey's eclectic and soulful brand of mood-rock - equal parts ominous and engaging.
Their anticipated debut LP follows an acclaimed debut EP release and eighteen months of consistent live touring throughout Australia, both of which have allowed Morning Harvey to gain a significant foothold in Australia's music community.
"There are many a great psych-rock outfit in our fair city, and Morning Harvey is no exception. Their dreamscapes of guitar fuzz and unstructured onstage jams are mesmerising to watch and are delivered with a charm that cannot be faulted" - Concrete Playground
"Morning Harvey, on no account sounds like your average Brisbane band who are stumblingly launching a debut EP for the first time. Each song written is a masterpiece in its effective rhythm and catchy hooks" - AAA Backstage
Combining an eclectic mix of country, psychedelia, rock, and Brit-pop, The Tambourine Girls made a considerable impression on local and international listeners after debuting earlier this year with their debut EP 'The End Of Time', which was recorded with the help of Jack Moffitt (The Preatures), members of Deep Sea Arcade and Producer Tony Buchen (Alberts - Andy Bull, Jeremy Neale).
The release of the EP coincided with The Tambourine Girls' debut performances to over 2,500 punters as main support on Dustin Tebbutt's completely sold-out national tour in May.
The Tambourine Girls' debut EP The End of Time is out now via Chugg Music / MGM Distribution.
"The best 90 s Britpop album was released last week by an Australian."- Happy
"Elements of psychedelia, folk, and rock have been fused together to create a rolling backdrop, with Relf's gripping vocals holding court." -Hugh McClure, Indie Shuffle
