Miles and Simone are dear friends, and have been for quite some time.

Having toured some of the countries most prestigious arts festivals, including Melbourne International Arts Festival, Mullumbimby Folk Festival, and The Adelaide Cabaret Festival, They are thrilled to be launching their highly anticipated second album titled 'Dance With Me For A While' at The Toff In Town!

Set in the country/folk, boy-girl duet tradition and maintaining at their core an Australian feel, Miles and Simone create songs that are straight from the heart and tell of the things that were, the things that weren't and everything in between.

Recorded in Miles' spare room and the Torquay backyard bungalow, 'Dance With Me For A While' is like taking a trip down memory lane with a bottle gin in one hand, and a bottle of whiskey in the other. Produced by Adam Selzer (of the Type Foundry Studios, Portland, Oregon), this record definitely takes on board the good, old-fashioned 'KISS' principle and stays true Miles and Simone's onstage sound which is just 2 voices, and a guitar.

A recent review aptly described this sound as "A Black Velvet cocktail with a base of rich stout, that's then topped with a crisp and sweet fizz and served in a curvy flute" - yum!

Combining the perfect mix of humour and heartbreak, Miles and Simone are sure to weave an unforgettable spell over you.

Hot bluegrass picking, sweet harmony singing and great songwriting from 3 of Melbourne's hopeless romantics. The Collingwood Casanovas play a mixture of original country music and classic bluegrass to get your toes a-tapping and your hearts a-breaking.

n.b. for the young kids who might not know, KISS is an acronym for "Keep it simple, stupid" as a design principle noted by the U.S. Navy in 1960. The KISS principle states that most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complicated; therefore simplicity should be a key goal in design (or music) and unnecessary complexity should be avoided. xxx.
