Miguel is an inhabitant of the ever-influential Yorkshire city, Leeds. Miguel started on the pathway
to success back in the mid-2000s. His signing to the much-lauded Hot Creations camp has seen his
status elevated far beyond anything he could have ever imagined. He landed an Essential Mix on
BBC Radio 1, a full-length LP and numerous remix requests in the process.

It all began with hip-hop, but Miguel quickly saw that house music was his way of life. He
started DJing at his school youth club many years ago, Miguel played hip-hop when he was
younger, but as soon as he began to hit clubs, it was apparent, house music was the way forward
for him. Miguel was soon immersing himself in the French house scene, with luminaries such as
Daft Punk and Fred Falke listed among his key influences. The filtered disco sounds they purveyed
resonating with Miguel and shaping his own sound.

He set up Outcross Records which became a home for his music, teaming up with fellow Leeds
resident Matt Hughes to form MAM, a dynamic duo that has remixed the likes of the Climbers,
Deadmau5 and Flight Facilities, as well as putting out releases via Wolf+Lamb, Future Classic and
Outcross itself. Keeping a steady flow of music going throughout the late 2000s,

Miguel became a well-known face in Leeds, though it wasn't until his 'Baby I Got It EP' dropped in 2011 on Hot Creations, when he finally picked up international recognition. The EP was a sultry blend of
uplifting vocals, sun drenched synths and bouncing bass - perfect for the summertime and
ridiculously catchy, catapulting Miguel into the limelight and capturing the imaginations of party
nge-booking.com people the world over. DJ-wise, Miguel has travelled the globe from USA, South America, Australia, a set at Berlin's infamous Watergate & Manchester's Warehouse Project.

He achieved a personal highlight in his DJ career when he was invited to record an Essential Mix
for Pete Tong's cult Radio 1 show. He is the man behind the first solo artist album on Hot
Creations, named Back In Flight School. Spread across 15 tracks, the album is a
perfect representation of what Miguel is all about, contemporary disco music that oozes
retro flavour topped off with 21st Century polish.

Miguel's forward march continues with aplomb, as he refuses to relent, working on more music,
including a recent remix for Basement Jaxx and travelling to foreign shores to spread his own
unique brand of funk around the world.
