DJs Prequel & Edd Fisher (Tomorrowland) provide a thought-provoking aural accompaniment to your inner city late night rendezvous at The Toff In Town Carriage.
Edd Fisher is a music collector, selector, DJ, producer & radio presenter. Not your average disc jockey, Edd is a graduate of Australia's premier music school WAAPA with a bachelor in Jazz Composition and presents a radio show (Tomorrowland) fortnightly on PBS106.7FM. Edd's sets span a mixed bag of Rare-Groove, Funk, Soul, Future Beats, Disco, Hop Hop & Jazz. A fine selector across broad genres Edd's sound is a seamless blend of old and new creating a distinct and modern take on the dance floor.
Prequel's DJ sets combine a love of Detroit House music, a keen crate diggers ear, a desire to challenge audiences and a genuine enthusiasm behind the decks. He wears his musical heart on his sleeve and strives to create a unique and memorable experience whenever and wherever he plays.
2014 saw the first official release of Prequel's work on Bradley Zero's (Boiler Room) Rhythm Section International imprint, the labels third release. The Polite Strangers EP garnered attention and praise from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Osunlade, Lefto, Ben UFO and several other well-respected industry figureheads, both abroad and at home.
2015 has seen Prequel's original work appearing on the Wondercore Island Mixtape #5, a contribution to a forthcoming compilation on new label Transfigured Time as well as a remix of Melbourne based outfit Tulalah on Equinox Recordings. He is also set to release a follow up EP to Polite Strangers as well as several other 12" releases.
Always on the hunt for playing and making music of true substance, Prequel continues to evolve and improve both behind the decks and in the studio.
