The Twisted vaudeville circus two year anniversary is a time to play a new role, to hide or, reveal your true self for one night only in a bizarre menagerie of exotic creatures and theatrical beauty.

"It's an elaborate, formal masquerade ball, I wanted to create an event that stimulates all the senses" says creative director of the circus Kelly Cook.

The old Imax theatre on Lake street Northbridge is brought to life as the Empyrean theatre, two levels of a surreal playground for guests to experience Perth's best performers as living works of art they can interact with and reach out and touch.

"After the Ball, the theatre will host an intimate VIP show for a few lucky tickets holders at midnight" says Cook. "A mask is a must with your formal costume attire, it's all about our guests becoming the 'performers' for one night, they can escape and play a new role, even keep their identity a secret if they like, you'll never know who you might meet!"

The event will host 500 guests elaborately dressed in masquerade costumes, including a VIP section with VIP entry, Aerial circus acts, giant burlesque birds in 6 foot golden cages, 8 foot 4 legged creatures, vintage dance numbers, mermaids, drag queens wearing the most elaborate costumes ever seen in Perth, stunning décor "and we better keep some things a surprise for the night!" Cook laughs. If that's not tempting enough, there is also a $1000 prize for best dressed to spend in Perth's best alternative stores.
