Strikingly versatile and absurdly good...
The fabulously uncategorizable Lowdown Hokum Orchestra is one of Australia's most eclectic musical collectives. Strikingly versatile and absurdly good, one reviewer aptly described them simply as "brilliant." The band features the contrasting vocal styles Australia's best jazz singer, Nichaud Fitzgibbon with the earthy blues of Doc White who also features on guitar, mandolin and harmonica. Other Hokumers areTony Martin, drums (Sammy Owen Band, Hey Gringo); Paul Williamson, saxes (Paul Williamson's Hammond Combo, Renee Geyer, Black Sorrows); Howard Cairns, double bass (Ross Hannaford, Dancehall Racketeers)
