Little Scout hit the road to launch their new album "Take Your Light"

Little Scout made Take Your Light in Jonathan Boulets garage after 12 months of pre-production at good friend Darek Mudges studio (from Intercooler). Were all a bit obsessive, Patrick Elliott reveals. Were not one of those bands that can just walk into the studio and do it. We need to be organised. The album was produced by Scott Bromiley from fellow Brisbane band The John Steel Singers. Scott is another bearded genius, Melissa smiles. It was great to work with someone who has so many ideas. Even if we thought a song was finished, Scott would always come up with another incredible idea. Weve really tried to push ourselves in so many ways, Patrick adds. Now we just want people to hear it. Take Your Light follows two acclaimed EPs and three years of solid touring. Weve been lucky to play with some great acts, Patrick points out, from Belle and Sebastian to The New Pornographers, Camera Obscura, Clare Bowditch, Holly Throsby and Josh Pyke. Weve always taken something from each of the acts weve played with, whether its a sound or a way of doing something. With this album, we wanted to make something that could sit alongside the work of those artists.
