So good, they have been nominated by the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society, to play in the International Blues Challenge Youth Showcase, Memphis Tennessee, in January 2017!

Forming in 2015 after a Youth in Blues Workshop, Limelight are a band that played together and stayed together, playing the blues, jazz and things in between.

Charlie Bedford started tinkering on the guitar at a tender age of 7 years.  Charlie's distinctive big red hair, his jackets and ties only add to this guitar playing virtuoso's persona. Now at 15, Charlie's vocals develop as quickly as he gets taller and now exudes some powerful husky and melodic sounds.

Hayden Powell, 16, has been playing the guitar for 7 years.  Singing is quite a recent thing for Hayden but since joining Limelight, he has become a powerhouse.  His mellow and unique voice along with his ultra cool guitar licks will have you rocking from side to side.

Cameron Powell, is the oldest (and possibly the tallest) at 17. As Limelight's bass player, his instinctive, cool, calm and collected nature is what makes his playing so extra special. Cameron is so funky you can see him moving and swaying to his own bass sounds on stage.

The ever funky and tight rhythm section is transported to the next level by the young Harvey Constable, who at 11, is the youngest in the band. But don't let that fool you.  The kid was nominated in the top 10 of Drumtek's Australia's Junior Up and Coming Drummer Competition. This should come as no surprise as this young gun comes from a family of drummers which includes his dad and grandfather.

The sky's the oyster for this young band who simply go from strength to strength. There is no denying it.

The fact of the matter is, they are so good, they have been nominated by the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society, to play in the International Blues Challenge Youth Showcase, Memphis Tennessee, in January 2017. The only youth band from Melbourne ever to have this opportunity.
