Director Andrew Dominik explodes the genres of concert film and making-of documentary to craft this haunting black-and-white portrait of one album: Skeleton Tree, by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Made after the tragic death of Cave's teenage son Arthur, the album and the film explore a tangled mess of grief and creativity. An intimate tribute to Dominik's friend and collaborator.
