You'd be hard pressed to find an independent artist that's had as stellar a breakout year as Sydney's Le Pie did in 2015.

Since releasing her debut single 'Secrets' in January of that year and immediately establishing her signature grunge-meets-'60s girl group sound, the Sydney indie pop chanteuse's momentum has yet to slow down.

From the moment that thundering drum intro reached the airwaves, 'Secrets' and Le Pie quickly became a favourite of Australian radio institutions like triple j and FBI Radio - both championing her as one of their favourite new Australian artists. That initial success continued throughout the year and saw four separate singles score triple j play ('Secrets' and its gorgeous follow up 'Josephine, as well as the collaborations 'Dancer In The Dark' with Sydney rapper Simo Soo and 'Neverland' with Adelaide producer Mio), as well as seeing 'Secrets' achieve the miraculous feats of being crowned the number one most played song for 2015 on FBI Radio and the third most played song on triple j Unearthed for 2015. And that's not mentioning features with international tastemakers like Channel V, Rage, Rolling Stone, Hhhhappy, Who The Hell and Music Feeds to name a few.

With the release of her stellar debut EP and he said honey, you look so fine in August, the opportunities continued to roll out, as she got the chance to show what her crack band The Sha La Las could do with those magical tunes live on stage, as they performed to thousands of new fans at sell out shows on her debut east coast tour, as well as festivals like Big Sound, Fairgrounds and Festival Of The Sun. And bubbling below all that surface success was a viral stream that saw her clocking up over 200,000 plays on Spotify - over 100,000 of which just for 'Josephine.'

But that was 2015 and now she's now poised to follow that momentum and rocket into the year ahead - starting with the release of the brand-new party track 'Up All Night'.

From its thumping bass intro, pounding percussion, Albert Hammond Jr style guitars, and majestic melodies - all capped off with a huge crescendo, it's obvious that 'Up All Night' is the perfect soundtrack to kicking off your heels and twisting your way onto the dance floor in the style of classic indie pop gems like Camera Obscura's 'If Looks Could Kill' and Phoenix's 'Lisztomania.'

It's a slight departure in sound with a heightened sense of urgency, but the song retains that same innate sense of melody and that undeniable knack for writing a pop hook that features in all of her material. And it's just the tip of what we can expect from Le Pie this year, with a follow up EP scheduled for later in 2016.
