Frontier Touring, I OH YOU and Secret Sounds are thrilled to confirm that coinciding with her appearance at this year's sold out Splendour in the Grass festival; Låpsley will bring her evocative brand of electronica to Sydney and Melbourne stages for her very first headline performances this July.

The end of high-school was drawing near and a burgeoning career in science was on the horizon when Holly Låpsley Fletcher begun to discover her own sound, a combination of her classical music upbringing and the discovery of electronic music at local raves. When her parents told her to stop making music until after exams Låpsley would wake up late each night and continue to write in secret, the end result becoming her debut EP Monday. A design of both of her classical and electronic influences, the stunning EP gathered acclaim from tastemaker blogs worldwide and she quickly found herself drawing the interest of numerous record labels.

Låpsley would eventually find a home at XL Recordings alongside label mates Jamie XX, Adele and Radiohead and channel the turbulence of her new-found music career into debut album Long Way Home (out now). Working alongside producers Rodaidh McDonald (The xx, How To Dress Well) and Paul O'Duffy (Amy Winehouse), confidence in her own aptitude as producer ensured her involvement on all twelve of the albums tracks including triple j high-rotation single 'Cliff' and inevitable hit 'Operator'. With the latter clocking up over a millions views, fellow singles 'Falling Short' and 'Hurt Me' have left little doubt as to why critics are announcing the singer-songwriter-producer as one of 2016's most formidable talents.

'The piano-driven undercurrents and crisp R&B beats call for a James Blake comparison, whilst her vocals - rich and smooth - move like label mate Adele.' - BMA (AU)

'With '80s-style drum fills, epic choruses and up-tempo disco coexisting so comfortably, album two already feels like a tantalising prospect.' - NME (UK)

'It's taken just a couple of years for Låpsley to write songs both universal and complex.' - DIY Mag (UK)

One thing is certain, Låpsley is poised for greatness. Having enchanted audiences at Glastonbury, she is set to do the same at this year's Splendour in the Grass and Lollapalooza festivals. These Sydney and Melbourne headline performances are your only opportunity to see the Liverpudlian singer and producer perform her entire set in a uniquely intimate setting. Don't miss out!
