Sharp tongued, quick witted and ravenous in ambition; introducing Melbourne based rapper, poet and spoken word artist, Kudos and his debut single ‘Plucker’.

Kudos (James Tretheway) is an unconventional figure in the hip hop community, his passion for the art form is palpable and incredibly contagious. He's spent years honing his skills, between drawing crowds on city streets rhyming publicly, practicing his sets while jumping rope and even sharing the stage with heavy weights such as Atmosphere, Spit Syndicate and Afrika Bambaataa. On top of this he has featured consistently with Tijuana Cartel and even presented a Ted X talk on creative space.

Kudos' debut single 'Plucker' exemplifies his skill and paints a fantastic introduction of the artist. The track produced/mixed by partner in crime Yuri Tobler and mastered/mixed by Ben Kramp (Illy, M-Phazes) features witty, honest wordplay and subtle melodic fluctuations. It's as catchy as it is interesting.

To celebrate a brave first release, Kudos embarks on an intimate national tour, bringing the magic to rooms across the East Coast including a spot at the Sunshine Coast's Jungle Love Festival. Spending years waiting for the perfect moment to step through the door, Kudos has well and truly arrived to the party, and 'Plucker' represents a delicious first taste of what is to come.
