KOI CHILD RELEASE NEW SINGLE TOUCH 'EM

AND ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES

The breezy port of Fremantle, WA has a reputation for birthing some of the world's best alternative music and early 2015 saw the birth of Koi Child, the combined forces of local hip-hop party starters Childs Play and nu-jazz quartet Kashikoi. The world is now privy to Koi Child's massive self-titled debut album, which was released in March 2016. After a sold out album tour earlier this year, Koi Child have re-emerged from winter hibernation and are heading out on the road again - taking in dates in Perth, Fremantle, Sydney and Melbourne this August.

To celebrate their latest tour announcement, Koi Child have released their new single Touch 'Em, one of the highlights of their recent album and a regular spinner on Beats 1 radio on Apple Music.

After the buzzing, saw tooth swing of first single Black Panda and the smooth-as-you-like free jazz stylings of 1-5-9, Touch 'Em turns the energy levels back up to 100% with a house party vibe and rapid-fire bars. The track is considered by fans and critics alike to be the standout cut from the album and has been handpicked by some of the world's best radio stations as the track you can't miss. Touch 'Em has been given support across Ebro's Beats 1 show, BBC R1 and at community stations as far reaching as Osaka, Japan and Texas, USA.

Don't miss Koi Child on tour this August!

"[Tame Impala's] fastidious production allows their formidable musicianship free reign as tenor and alto sax solos vie for space with tinkling, feather-light keys, expansive double bass and punchy compressed drums" - Mojo

"Koi Child is an inviting first step that begs to be heard live in the smallest, smokiest club possible" - Rolling Stone

"For those who love hip-hop and want to support its local incarnation, but find they grate on the teeth - consider Koi Child the antidote. Koi Child will be next summer's festival must-see, so you may as well get on the train now" - Elle
