Legendary guitarist of The Cramps, Gun Club and Nick Cave & Bad Seeds, Kid Congo Powers returns to Australia with long time cohorts, The Pink Monkey Birds and teams up for ONE show only in Adelaide with Tex Perkins' latest rock outfit, The Ape in a huge double bill.

Following their first Australian tour in January 2015 which saw them sell out rooms across the country and playing the likes of Sydney Festival and SummerSalt, greasy, swamp rockers Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds return to our shores with their fourth and strongest album yet, "La Ara a Es La Vida".  Due to popular demand and countless requests the band will play Adelaide for the first time ever ! 

Australian audiences need no introduction to the work of Tex Perkins. Lead singer of Beasts of Bourbon & the Cruel Sea, Tex is an Australian icon.

In the early 80's, Kid was tipped to join the Beasts of Bourbon. Instead his band at the time, The Gun Club toured Australia in 1983 and picked up Beasts of Bourbon guitarist Spencer P Jones at late notice. The Beasts and Kid's paths would cross again in 1988 while Kid was in Australia with The Bad Seeds. Tex & Kid made a one off e.p together under the guise of "The Butcher Shop".
