Bamboo Musik and Noise In My Head proudly present legendary Japanese DJ/producer KENJI TAKIMI - pioneer of the left field/alt-disco arena and head honcho of cult imprint Crue-L Records.

Since 1991, Crue-L has been at the forefront of the alternative Japanese music scene, releasing Western breakthroughs Cornelius and Buffalo Daughter as well as Kenji's own prolific excursions Crue-L Grand Orchestra, Luger E-Go and Being Borings. A true artists' artist, his respected productions have been lovingly remixed by the likes of DJ Harvey, Theo Parrish, Dr Dunks, Idjut Boys, Prins Thomas, Recloose and Joe Claussell, while Cut Copy, Dimitri From Paris and Sebastian Tellier have commissioned him for reworks. Tim Sweeney even credited his Beats In Space set as the show's mix of 2010.

One of the most celebrated DJ fixtures on his home turf and sought-after worldwide, this marks Kenji's maiden voyage to Australia where he's destined to levitate audiences with cutting edge taste and an eclectic, romantic and spacey style that he's forged over a 23 year career.
